Yoga pose of the week - Dancer's pose or Natarajasana
The yoga pose of the week is the Dancer's pose, or Natarajasana. This pose develops balance and concentration. It strengthens and stretches the shoulder girdle, the abdominal and chest areas, the legs, and the hips, and helps to increase the mobility of the spine. This pose teaches you to maintain inner peace and grace even in challenging situations.
As a simplified variation, you can place your outstretched hand against a wall. In fact, there are more simple and complex variations for every pose than just one. You are welcome to get acquainted with them in our guided classes.
The Dancer's pose is common in many physically active yoga styles, such as Vinyasa yoga and Hatha yoga.
Happy practicing!
