Calm, slow, meditative and dreamlike Yin yoga focuses on stretching, where you stop for several minutes. It is a so-called "cold" yoga style, where the muscles relax and the stretching goes deeper into the harder tissues.
This light stimulation of tissues improves the health and mobility of joints, bones and tendons. Helps to recharge with new energy and directs our attention inwards, creating a relaxed, meditative state. Such practice teaches you to consciously observe what is going on in your mind and body and how to be present at the moment. Yin yoga is a good balance for regular (yang) muscle training.
