Gut feeling
Everyone has an inner guide that signals, through a light or heavy feeling in the body, whether a given activity, decision, exercise variation, etc., is right for us at that moment or not.
In yoga classes, we return again and again with our attention to what kind of feeling one movement or another created in the body or how we are feeling at that given moment.
Consistent practice builds a connection with oneself, and following one's own intuition extends beyond the yoga mat to other aspects of life.
This lovely photo is from a recent beach yoga class. Thank you, Ave

Ave joined us years ago and has been a diligent practitioner of headstands from the very beginning (although you can successfully practice yoga without standing on your head
Now, Ave's intuition prompts her to start her day on most mornings with a headstand and other exercises that suit her, as it gives her a pleasant boost of energy and wakes her up like a cup of coffee
. Thank you for listening to yourself
.
Since everyone's intuition is a compass only for themselves, your intuition might give a completely different answer regarding a headstand or any other activity.
If you feel that practicing yoga can contribute to creating a better connection with yourself and you feel called to it, feel free to reach out.
